About Adam Bartsch, Esq.

Adam Bartsch is the founder and principal of NorthEast Estates and Trusts, PLLC (NEET). He is an attorney with legal experience in New York City, Washington D.C. and Vermont, with licenses to practice law in Vermont, New York and Massachusetts. Adam has also been admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court. Prior to becoming an attorney, Adam worked for five years as a journalist in Washington, D.C. covering a broad range of issues on Capitol Hill.

Adam’s education includes a juris doctor degree from George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. (1998); a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in Evanston, Illinois (1991); and a bachelor of arts degree cum laude from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (1989). He graduated from the Putney School, in Putney, Vermont in 1983.

After graduating from law school, Adam joined Huber Lawrence & Abell, a 35-attorney energy law firm based in New York City. He practiced for more than four years in the firm’s New York and Washington, D.C. offices, focusing on federal and state regulatory issues related to the electric utility industry.
 
Adam and his family moved to Shelburne Vermont in 2003, and he founded NEET in early 2004.

Adam has been involved in the Shelburne community as a member of the Charlotte-Shelburne Rotary since 2005, a volunteer at the Shelburne Community School's Environmental Learning for the Future (ELF) program, and as a volunteer soccer coach for the Shelburne Parks and Recreation Department.
